Melbourne's multiculturalism is an excellent way to enhance language learning by implementing‚ hands-on’ activities such as going to international movie screenings, eating in authentic restaurants and meeting with native speakers at social events.
Language Matters organises a selection of cultural activities on a regular basis, where people of many nationalities get together to practise their language skills. Many of the activities that we organise are free of charge. However, some social outings such as the visits to museums, sampling foreign cuisines, movie screenings and special events are not. Nevertheless, we always do our best to arrange more favourable costs and prcing deals for our learners.

I just thought I would drop you a quick line to let you know that both Sarah and myself really enjoyed out German lessons and would like to enrol in the next lot of classes. Thanks and regards.

I really like the informal manner in which classes are conducted with the delightful and very French tutor Murielle. I also enjoy the social events which are arranged for the students’ benefit. The courses suit all ages and at 83, I would be the most elderly student. Learning a language is said to benefit the brain and it is enjoyable.

I thoroughly enjoy my French course at Language Matters. The class consist of small group of students and is designed to be personal. Each student has plenty of opportunity to learn the grammar and practice speaking French in the class. Murielle is a terrific teacher; she is very helpful and patient with the students and explains grammar plausible and with great examples. I highly recommend Language Matters’ French course to all my friends and family and would love to continue my French learning in the evening classes

My daughter has been studying Dutch language B on a higher level as part of her IB Diploma programme in the last two years. In this time I have had the fullest confidence in Sigrid from Language Matters. She organised the right teacher for my daughter and she has guided us step by step through the process of taking oral and written exams. She has been extremely thorough and I have also really appreciated her excellent level of communication with me as a parent.
